The conference venue - Hotel Taj Palace, New
Delhi, is one of the biggest and most modern
convention centre in India. Set in a prime
location of Delhi's Diplomatic Enclave (Sardar
Patel Marg), where most of the Embassies /
High Commissions are located, the Taj Palace
is 15 minutes drive from the airport.

The official language of the Congress is
English.
Currency and currency exchange
The official currency of India is Indian Rupee
(INR). At present 1 US $ is about INR 40.00.
All major international currencies are
accepted in India. Currency can be exchanged
at the airport, major hotels and banks. All
major international credit cards are accepted
in India.

(IST)
Indian Standard Time is 5.30 hours ahead of
GMT (GMT+5.30 hrs).
Weather
The weather in New Delhi in January is peak of
the winter season in Delhi. Delegates are
requested to carry enough woolen clothes for
their comfort. The conference centre is
air-conditioned.
Electric Current
In India the electric voltage available is 220
volts AC/50 Hz. Some hotels provide additional
110 volt plug point outlets.
Letter of Invitation
Upon request, the Conference Secretariat will
be happy to send a personal letter of
invitation to facilitate obtaining grant or
VISA for participation in the Conference.
However, this does not imply any financial
support towards expenses for attending the
conference, such as registration, travel and
hotel accommodation.
VISA
All foreign visitors to India require a VISA
before arrival. Please contact the nearest
Indian Embassy in your home country for VISA.
“VISA on arrival” is not granted in India.
Airport
Delhi is well connected to all the major
cities of the world by international airlines.
The International Airport at Delhi is known as
Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA,
Terminal II).
The Domestic Airport (IGIA, Terminal I) has
excellent air-connectivity with all the cities
in India. Pre-paid taxies are available from
the international airport to Hotels.
Local Transportation
Delhi has a well developed transport system
with availability of air-conditioned cars,
radio taxies and state-of-the-art metro.
Accommodation
January is high tourism season for Delhi. You
are requested to please book your
accommodation as soon as possible.
Badges
Entry to the Conference and Exhibition will
not be permitted without badges due to
security reasons. You are requested to wear
your badge during all sessions & functions of
the conference.
